Explore Dallas | What's New in Bishop Arts
Remember when I blogged about all the cool new places in the Bishop Arts District? Well, SURPRISE! There’s more…
CUT TO:
THE CHASE
BOTANIST
— is my favorite new bar in Dallas. Open outside, intimate inside, and great tunes and vibes throughout. ✨
I just love the atmosphere. And of course, the cocktails.
TBH, the cocktails aren’t as good as Tiny Victories and Jettison, as I’ve mentioned before. But they are close!
Also: LOOK HOW PRETTY!!
Pro Tip: Start at T.V. then work your way to Botanist.
Botanist also has great music to set the vibe, even without a DJ present. Like, they play music I’ve added in my personal playlist. Which is like, kind of a big deal. So, great taste 🙃
Dallas’ newest cocktail bar has super chill ambiance and crowd, beautiful interior and patio (which is spacious af). I mean — I honestly can’t say I’ve had a bad experience at Botanist. And I’m there quite often. Even the bartenders are dope.
(please note: I wrote this before the revamp ‘incident.’ Just Google it.)
PARADISO
— is another cool thing about Botanist: it is CONNECTED to Paradiso. This new European-inspired restaurant in the Cliff that just as cute (words I thought I’d never say). Paradiso and Botanist share a kitchen and cocktails (same owners*)! Therefore, no surprise the space is just stunning. You may forget you’re in Dallas, after a few cocktails… 😉
[images loading… ok, “coming soon” — I’m a busy person]
So…both: Perfect date night. (You’re welcome, fellas.)
Fun Fact:
I once went on a date with one of the owners prior to these opening (not knowing who he was before)
Didn’t go well, but I learned this was all in the works!
And I still dig it, Michael.
Other stuff you should check out in Oak Cliff/BiSHOP ARTS:
Hatties (southern soul food — in Bishop Arts**)
Picolé Pops (boozy dessert)
Society by Jackson Vaughn (“hip” candle boutique)
Galleries / Art (Everywhere. Just walk around.)
