“Note To Self” | Lifestyle

I was recently reminded of the reason I started blogging. Not just cuz of that obsolete Journalism degree [in 2011], but why I decided to open up more within my posts AFTER earning that. To share my thoughts and interests, as openly as I do with my closest friends. No bullshit.

(and, YES. I am a Scorpio.)

Thing is… as I’m opening up more publicly, I have noticed something: The Anchors ⚓️

For over a decade, I’ve watched my ideas brought to life —but through others. I’ve seen ‘them’ go on to other artists, creators, writers, and worst… people I trusted with my those ideas.

(BEWARE of parasites, y’all. And narcissists.)

I honestly believe ideas are alive; if you neglect them, they will find another “host.”

I noticed the time I waste explaining my vision just delays me from moving forward. When I know I thrive off moving with the current 🌊

That being said,
my blog is now also:
🧾 RECEIPTS 🧾

LOL. I mean, not much different from anything ever posted online like, everrr. I just want all I decide to share publicly to have a “home” of honesty and authenticity: HERE!

Look, I am just done with this draining pattern I find myself in, specifically in collaborations, which stall my own creative growth.

THAT’s what I noticed.

Plus, knowing I can only blame myself for not acting once I sense I’m being used…is just fucked up lol. So now I’m aware, owning it, acting on all I want to do, and creating more than ever in the way I want —no distractors. It’s bliss

True artists+creators help,
not hop over one another

To do so, you must grow + find yourself. Leeching off others ideas to get ahead for your ego is NOT your true self, authentic or creative. I want to encourage other creators to not mimic, but follow your own voice/ideas and act on them before ‘they’ move on.

ANYWAY. I’m short, as is life, and I have done my time getting to where I am today, so please, stay in your lane. Don’t be an anchor; be your own ship. Cuz…

we need more original creators!

As the great Kendrick Lamar shared in Worldwide Steppers
(a song he wrote himself —cuz apparently some “artists” don’t anymore🙄):

FUCK, indeed.
