Weekly Music Series | Top 5 Songs (Week 3)
…in my current playlist:
Yes, twice in a row. I started up again on Mr Twin Sister (formerly Twin Sister) this last week. “Sensitive” was actually the song that got me back into them, to relive the feels of “Meet the Frownies” (also, Kendrick Lamar anyone?) and the dreamy energy of “In the House of Yes” (see below*). And now I can’t remove from my playlist just yet!! 😩I’m currently obsessed — listen and hope you feel me too. ✨
(*UPDATE: Hi, I’m back, telling you to listen to “The House of Yes” …preferably alone. . . at night.
I know, I have a problem. Check on me next week.)
FN Love Little Dragon. If you don’t know ‘em — check them out, man. Yukimi Nagano’s vocals give me peace and life all at once. (Latest 💣: “Lover Chanting”) Anyway, I guess I had an ‘old school’ playlist this week, influenced by the De La Soul documentary I watched with a friend, and it reminded me of …and The Anonymous Nobody (2016) — their first album in 12 years. Them all on one track… ⚡️⚡️⚡️
I love talking music with friends, but it’s even better when you rediscover with a new perspective and time in life. Recommend it.
And also to watch the doc “De La Soul is Not Dead” 👊🏻
🔥🔥🔥
(back in my heart…and playlist)
(newly found 💎— peep the entire album. I can’t believe I JUST heard.)
